The Natural Childhood has received a Grow Wild kit from the Royal Botanic Gardens’ Kew Gardens, founded by the Big Lottery Fund for our group to be part in the UK’s biggest-ever wild flower campaign, bringing people together to transform local spaces with native, pollinator-friendly wild flowers and plants.
On Saturday April 29th Natural Childhood joint Knight’s Hill Woods in an initiative from Nature Vibezzz, a not for profit organisation, which is regenerating the woods.
Activities included clearing two planting areas, one infested with ground elder and the other with littered pieces of glass, helping set up and upgrade dry hedges, making signs and planting the Urban Woodland species from the Bow Wild kit which will blend perfectly with other native woodland species that Nature Vibezzz will be planting with the community next Saturday, May 6th, from 2-4pm.
Thank you Nature Vibezzz for the opportunity; we’ll be helping to maintain this great outdoor space!
Next Natural Childhood Wild planting will be announced soon in the Natural Childhood Facebook group.
